TheraPlay & Early Intervention

TheraPlay is a form of guided play through games, nurturing activities and developmentally challenging engagement activities. Sessions are done in small groups of 3-5 children and 3 specialists.

TheraPlay Groups are directed by a practitioner on a verbal and non-verbal level to guide functional social interaction. Methods incorporated teach children how to self-regulate, improve social-emotional appropriated responses, balance behavior and practice communicative reciprocity.

EARLY INTERVENTION

Early intervention services are designed to meet the developmental needs of a child with a disability or developmental delays and the needs of the family to assist in the child’s development. The child will be assessed and an IFSP will be developed to address the needed goals of the child based on scores. Each session will include strategies to support your child's development.

My Approach

All individuals are deserving of a life filled with prosperity and strong family relationships. It is our mission to reach out to families in order to help create and maintain a greater sense of understanding of development and create better family dynamics. We are committed to providing a  program of dedicated care and understanding of the needs of all individuals. It is our goal to make our services accessible to the broadest reach of people across race, religion, class, culture, sexual orientation, and ethnicity. We are also committed to the care and support of others, as we know that compassion must begin with ourselves.

About me

My passion to guide others to a life of prosperity began over 25 years ago. As a developmental specialist and mother of an Autistic child, I saw the disparities that life offered and the difficulties families faced with integration. I realized my experience was not limited to me but much larger than myself. I have the ability to make a difference.
